This painting started with defined rectangular shapes. Much like most paintings that was just the beginning of its journey. With lots of sanding and scraping a rough texture appeared. A trowel through thick paint blurred the shapes. The straight lines give the painting an ethereal cityscape influence. The gray edging gives the eye a much needed place to rest.
